Happy Holidays

16_adults2A light hearted one before the Holiday season hits us.

With all those heading to Japan for the Jamboree next year, I thought I’d share with you the very literal translation of their version of “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” (Akahana no Tonakai)

Everyone laughed cruelly at
The poor red-nosed reindeer

But one Christmas

Old Santa Claus came to him and said

“Your flashing nose

Could be convenient light in the dark street”

Always Crying, the Reindeer was suddenly

Happy tonight to be useful

Makka na ohana no tonakai-san wa真っ赤なお鼻のトナカイさんは

Itsumo minna no waraimono

Demo sono toshi no kurisumasu no hi

Santa no ojisan wa iimashita

Kurai yomichi wa pika pika no

Omae no hana ga yaku ni tatsu no sa

Itsumo naiteta tonakai-san wa

Koyoi koso wa to yorokobimashita

Happy Holidays everyone!
